man charged killing father middletown township home

A Pennsylvania man, Justin Mohn, allegedly killed his father and displayed his decapitated head in a YouTube video while expressing right-wing conspiracy theories.

Justin Mohn, 32, is accused of killing his father, Michael Mohn, who was reportedly 68 years old.

Mohn was arrested about 100 miles away from the crime scene and faces charges of first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and possessing an instrument of crime with intent.

He was arraigned at 4 a.m. and denied bail by Middletown Township Police Capt. Pete Feeney.

The YouTube video titled "Mohn's Militia - Call To Arms For American Patriots" shows Mohn wearing gloves and holding his father's head in a plastic bag. Later, the head is seen in a cooking pot.

In the video, Mohn accuses his father, a former federal employee, of being a traitor and expresses hostility towards federal officials, President Joe Biden's administration, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ community, and antifa activists.

YouTube removed the video, which was over 14 minutes long, citing its policies against graphic violence and violent extremism.

A YouTube spokesperson stated that Mohn's channel was terminated in accordance with their policies on violent extremism, and they are actively monitoring for any re-uploads of the video.

The case has sparked outrage and raised concerns about the spread of extremist ideologies on social media platforms.
