Cardinals Placing Wide Receiver On Injured Reserve After Season-Ending Injury

As the Arizona Cardinals head into their final two games of the season, they'll now officially be without their star wide receiver.

On Friday, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon announced that wide receiver Hollywood Brown will go on season-ending injured reserve.

He's been dealing with a heel injury for quite some time and barely played or practiced this month.

"#AZCardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said Hollywood Brown will go on Injured Reserve with a heel injury that he's battled through most of the year," NFL insider Rapoport reported.

Brown finishes the year with 51 receptions for 574 yards and four touchdowns.

He leads the team in receiving TDs and is second in receptions and receiving yards.

The Arizona Cardinals are 3-12 and finishing up their fourth season with at least 10 losses in the past six years.

It was a rough one for first-year head coach Jonathan Gannon as he had to go half the season without star quarterback Kyler Murray.

Maybe the 2024 season will be a better one though.

With the Cardinals guaranteed a top 10 pick in next year's draft,

they could get a blue chip player who can help lead them back to the playoffs sooner rather than later.
